July 16-17

For the last two days, Andes Land has been functioning as a bed and breakfast. We had two very nice guests from Washington state. We spent our days prepping for them and in the canals. Now its Wednesday and Michael and Vicky are off to Buenos Aires for a few days to see their boys.

Brent and I have been left in charge of house sitting. We feel very flattered that after only two weeks, were trusted enough to stay here alone and not burn the house down.

There was a big cold front coming through so we huddled up in the kitchen were its warm, with lots of wine, cards, and mucho reading.

The reading list has been very space inspired… Brent’s been putting away some Contact by Carl Segan and I’ve been reading about fighter jocks and astronauts in The Right Stuff.
