This is a favorite of the day hikes surrounding Otavalo. Its a little bit of a drive to get to the trail head but its a quick 2-3 hour hike up to a nice peak and vantage point of the Imbabura region and there are a couple of lakes in the area that you can explore. Great place to take a picnic and spend a Sunday afternoon.

We made a day of it with my boss and fellow interns from work. Of course, we went up on a cold, cloudy day but we still had moments with great views and made it out before the rain really picked up.
